ARC Board Chair Hal Kvisle receives highest distinction from ICD

This year, the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) announced our Board Chair Harold (Hal) Kvisle as a recipient of the ICD Fellowship Award, the highest distinction awarded by the ICD. Established in 1997, the ICD Fellowship designation honours individuals who have made outstanding contributions to Canadian enterprises through their governance leadership in Canadian boardrooms.

“As a pillar in the business community and a strong advocate for the energy industry, Hal Kvisle’s leadership and contributions are invaluable,” said Terry Anderson, ARC President and Chief Executive Officer. “As our Board Chair, Hal’s breadth of knowledge and global perspective continue to provide ARC with sound judgement and leading governance. We’re pleased to congratulate Hal on his well-deserved appointment as a 2021 Fellow of the ICD.”

Nominated by their peers, the Inductees are reviewed by a Selection Committee that includes highly respected individuals from Canada’s director community. In addition to demonstrated leadership on the boards on which they serve, other contributions to excellence in governance are considered, such as thought leadership, and education and mentorship activities.

Now bearing the Institute of Corporate Directors Fellow designation (F.ICD), Hal joins a prestigious group of exemplary directors, who together demonstrate leadership to improve trust and confidence in Canadian organizations.
