ARC and its people raise more than $500,000 for the United Way
After an exciting two-week employee-led campaign, we are proud to announce that ARC and our people have raised more than $500,000 for the United Way.
Making a positive impact is a core value for us. On an annual basis, ARC commits to matching 100 per cent of all employee donations made during our United Way campaign. This year, ARC contributed $300,000, more than doubling employee donations of $208,000.
27th annual campaign
This year’s campaign featured a series of engaging and educational fundraising events, sparked by a little friendly competition. Through games like Name that Tune, mini golf, bingo and others, teams had a chance to strengthen relationships and form new connections with their colleagues, while supporting causes important to them.
Employees also had the opportunity to hear directly from the organizations that benefit from their contributions. From poverty reduction to critical mental health supports, employees learned about the impact every dollar donated makes. Thank you to Wood’s Homes, All in For Youth, The Distress Centre, and CUPS for joining us this year.
Long-standing partnership
For more than 26 years, United Way has been a critical partner for us, making a difference in local communities. With more than 70 partner agencies, United Way supports a broad range of vital social services with the goal of building a better system of care for all. To-date, we’ve donated more than $11 million through our annual United Way campaigns. We are proud to give back in the communities where we live and work, and look forward to continuing to make an impact in the years to come.
