At ARC, we all own safety. We believe that whether we’re in the field or in the office, we need to work together to ensure everyone gets home safely. By caring about our colleagues, committing to safe practices, and continuously striving to improve, we can prevent harm on our worksites and deliver exceptional results.

We believe we are stronger when we approach safety as one team and collaborate across the organization to learn and improve. As part of this one team approach, we host annual Together Preventing Harm workshops that allow us to reinforce safety expectations and highlight the responsibilities and accountabilities of everyone on our worksites.

Leader workshops

Empowering Front-line Leadership

Our annual safety leader workshops bring together front-line leaders from across our operations, including On-site Supervisors, Foremen, Lead Operators, as well as Managers and Vice Presidents for full-day sessions designed to facilitate discussions, gather feedback, and build alignment on how to strengthen safety across our company.

This year, more than 250 members of our field staff attended sessions in Dawson Creek and Grande Prairie, where they heard from inspirational guest speakers and engaged in interactive discussions on our safety performance. Bringing leaders together from across our operations allows us to explore beyond the data and gain a better understanding of the circumstances and on-site activities that can contribute to incidents.

These discussions also help to gather feedback on established safety systems and tools to validate their effectiveness and identify areas for further improvement.

Contractor Workshops

Promoting Partnership to Prevent Harm

Our business requires the contributions and skills of many talented contractors and third-party service providers. From drilling and completions to facility construction and site maintenance, contractors help to keep our operations running smoothly. To ensure that these individuals uphold our high standards for safety excellence and actively work to prevent harm in their respective areas, we bring all contractors together for targeted workshops.

In 2024, 450 contractors attended sessions in Dawson Creek and Grande Prairie. These annual gatherings allowed us to remind everyone of our safety expectations, review annual performance, call attention to areas of concern, and focus on the actions and behaviours needed to prevent harm on our worksites.
