Team ARC rides again
ARC is proud to support the communities where we live and operate. Through corporate giving and ongoing volunteerism, we get involved in causes that encourage active and vibrant communities; healthy, safe and resilient people; and skilled and prepared future generations. Our people are the heart of our company, and we are pleased to support the causes they are most passionate about.
Last year, driven by an employee-led effort, ARC joined the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer as a Northern Lights Sponsor and entered a team in Alberta’s largest cycling fundraising event for the first time. Determined to push their limits and raise valuable funds for an important cause, Team ARC recruited 26 riders who collectively raised more than $109,000 – joining the ranks of the top 10 fundraising teams – and peddled over 4,600 km during the two-day cycling event.
Inspired by the incredible efforts of our people who embraced the ride as an opportunity to support those who have faced or are currently dealing with a cancer diagnosis, ARC signed a three-year commitment to continue as an event sponsor.
This year, Team ARC is once again gearing up to hit the road on July 20 – 21 for the 16th annual Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer to support the brave Albertans who have shown their strength through a cancer experience and help provide cancer treatment and research for all those who will be faced with a cancer diagnosis in the future. Our team has grown to 51 members, each with deep personal motivation, some with a direct connection to loved ones who have been lost, and a few inspirational riders who are currently going through their own personal cancer experience.
Cancer affects us all, with half of Albertans receiving a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime. ARC is proud of our people who have rallied around this event and pleased to support the Alberta Cancer Foundation’s efforts to advance research, detection, and treatment options to make life better for Albertans facing cancer.
