Providing opportunities for tomorrow’s energy professionals

ARC’s annual student program offers post-secondary students and new graduates the opportunity to spend their summers at ARC gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of disciplines. During their time on our teams, students participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the success of our business, nurture their professional development, and offer the chance to organize a community project in support of a cause or organization they are passionate about.

This year, 27 students from universities across the country joined ARC for the summer of 2024. They joined teams in our corporate office and field operations in areas such as accounting, information technology, human resources, engineering, facilities, and operations. Our students also embraced our culture of caring and focused their energy on helping to create active and vibrant communities.

For their summer community giving project, students this year chose to champion KidSport and their mission to promote the development of children’s social, mental and physical well-being.

Through a month-long campaign, students collected and donated used sports equipment, raised approximately $7,000, and volunteered at a Day of Caring event to support the KidSport organization and help local children in need of financial assistance for sport registration fees and equipment costs.

On behalf of everyone at ARC Resources we extend a heart-felt thank you to each of our students for all your excellent work over your work-term and your incredible fundraising efforts to support our local communities.

Student perspectives

"This summer in Kakwa was a great experience for us. Since our dad has worked in the industry our whole lives, it was cool to finally see what he does and experience site life for ourselves. Even with the 35-degree heat and heavy coveralls, we had fun. We are thankful to ARC for this opportunity - it gave us valuable hands-on experience and a deeper appreciation for the industry.””

“This summer I had the opportunity to join the Accounts Payable group, working to code and process invoice payments. Through my time at ARC, I gained invaluable experience in the world of accounting, and learned how payments are organized, approved, and attributed to various accounts. Working as a summer student at ARC Resources provided me with a foundation of knowledge I will use in the future, both in the classroom and in the workplace. I am grateful for such an opportunity.”
